Had things happened differently, Nick Diaz would forever be part of MMA history. Regardless of how his career transpired after February, 2007 he should have been remembered as part of one of the greatest fights ever. His PRIDE 33 matchup against Takanori Gomi should have created a legacy like the first Forrest Griffin/Stephan Bonnar bout, only it was better. It was a mixed martial arts version of Gatti/Ward or Castillo/Corrales 1. It should have been the biggest victory of Diaz\’s career and the centerpiece of his highlight reel.

Unfortunately, Diaz\’s moment of glory lasted only about six weeks. Diaz had tested positive for marijuana, and his THC level was off the charts. Nick Diaz\’s THC level was an astounding 175 and that led NSAC Chairman Dr. Tony Alamo to speculate that in this situation marijuana was a performance enhancing drug. Diaz was fined, suspended and the result of his almost certain fight of the year winner with Gomi changed to a no decision.

Diaz had singlehandedly removed the luster from a classic bout. Following an action packed and very close first round Gomi took control in the second. Gomi had opened a cut on Diazs face and it was bleeding a gusher. On several occasions Gomi implored the referee to stop the fight, or at least check on the cut due to the excessive blood flow. With the ref showing no signs of stopping the fight and Diaz hanging tough, Gomi took the fight to the ground and in a matter of seconds found himself forced to tap out to a gogoplata.

While Diaz might not be a bad person, hes definitely someone who attracts trouble. Instead of learning a lesson from the experience of his positive drug test, he became a more outspoken advocate of marijuana use. While the relative risk pot smoking is debatable and beyond the purview of this article one thing is certain\”fighters are prohibited from its use. Sadly, it appears that Diaz places a greater value on his recreational drug use than his legacy as a professional prizefighter. Hes gone so far as to obtain a prescription for medical marijuana in California, purportedly to treat Attention Deficit Disorder.

Ironically, Japans notoriously lax oversight of mixed martial arts makes it a perfect fit for Diaz. He doesnt have to worry about drug tests or athletic commissions who arent sympathetic to his claiming a need for medical marijuana. His workrate, conditioning and versatility as a fighter will be appreciated by the Japanese fans, and offers countless matchup opportunities for the promotion. Most significantly, perhaps, his participation with Japanese promotions DREAM or Sengoku provides Diaz the opportunity to put his missteps behind him and reassert himself as one of the sports most exciting fighters and not as a \’cautionary tale\’.

Former Chicago Bears running back Cedric Benson got revenge on the team that let him go in the best possible way. Benson amassed 189 yards rushing and led his new team, the Cincinnati Bengals, to a 45-10 rout over the visiting Bears on Sunday. Carson Palmer threw for five touchdowns with no interceptions in the blowout victory. Cincinnati improved to 5-2 with the win while Chicago dropped to 3-3 on the NFL season.

The Bengals also made short work of the NFL pointspread, easily covering as +1\’ home underdogs. Cincinnati improved to 4-3 against the number while Chicago evened their ATS mark at 3-3.

A happy Benson described his feelings after the win:

\”Everybody knew it was going to be an emotional day. Everybody knew. What a wonderful day and a wonderful thing, to go out there and strut your stuff.\”

Despite the evidence to the contrary, Benson downplayed the motive of revenge:

\”I continue to be as graceful as I can be. I\’m not shoving anything in anybody\’s face. Like I say, it wasn\’t a revenge day for me. I just wanted to take advantage of the opportunities.\”

He said his biggest problem was trying to keep his emotions in check:

\”There were a few times where I may have gotten a little too hyped up, a little too antsy. A couple of drives, I found myself having to calm myself down and gather my emotions to stay poised. Once I got past that, we were good to go. Keep it rolling.\”

Bengals\’ receiver Chad Ochocinco had 10 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns. He shared his thoughts postgame:

\”I don\’t understand why it went this way today and why it didn\’t go that way last week or the week before that. The offensive line played unbelievable. For Ced to run the way he did today and for us to be able to throw, we could have done what we wanted to do.\”

Chicago gave up more points than in any game all season, a fact that left defensive end Alex Brown looking for answers:

\”That was pretty embarrassing. It\’s embarrassing to come out and play like that. I tip my hat to their whole team. Cedric ran the ball like crazy. They did whatever they wanted to do.\”

The Bengals will enjoy a bye week before hosting the Baltimore Ravens on November 8. They\’ll then play two games on the road at Pittsburgh and Oakland. Chicago will try to get back on track this Sunday as they host the Cleveland Browns. The Bears are -13\’ home favorites with the total set at 40. They\’ll host the Arizona Cardinals the following Sunday before heading west for a Thursday night game against the San Francisco 49ers on November 12.

For a great place to spend some time with the family and away from the job, consider the Chesapeake Bay area. Centrally located on the Eastern shores of the US, the bay has many different activities for the whole family to enjoy. You will find opportunities for Chesapeake charter fishing, sailing and observing nature. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy on the trip.

The Chesapeake Bay is a large estuary that runs for over two hundred miles. It begins in southeastern Virginia and runs through most of the state and most of Massachusetts. As you move further inland, the amount of salt in the estuary changes. This allows different species of fish and other animals to live in the water.

The most popular fishing in the Bay is for stripped bass, also called rock fish. These fish can become quite large, and it is not uncommon for them to reach a weight of thirty to fifty pounds.

For many years, man was not all that concerned about the effects of his activities on the land. Thus, by 1970, the bay area was very polluted. Since that time, many efforts have been made to restore that bay to its former glory. Today, thanks to these efforts, the bay is in better shape than ever. Currently the oyster population is being reintroduced to the area.

Summers in the area are very warm and humid. This weather makes it an excellent place to enjoy the water. The bay only rarely freezes over very rarely, even though it is common for rivers in the area to freeze over completely. The salt in the water keeps it thawed.

In addition to an afternoon of great fishing on the bay, be sure to contact Chesapeake charter fishing about a tour of the entire bay area.

If you have grown bored with the same kind of family vacation every year or perhaps you have clients to entertain, this site is your solution. Planning a charter fishing trip could readily solve either problem. Chesapeake Bay Charter Fishing will make all the arrangements. Also, visit this site for interesting news items about fishing and sailing .

Post mount lights are the one which are mounted on a column or a post. Other kind of mount lights are wall mount, bracket mount, hanging mount lights etc.

How you plan to place the light also has a fabulous affect. For example for a bracket mount you can choose option like scroll brackets, gooseneck brackets, flower brackets and if you want to create a French look you can always go for the moustache bracket with the ends curled up. Using a simple light can also sometime have a much greater impact other than just lighting the area.

But in order to have the electrical option you first have to know if the area you are planning to cover has electrical wiring done for the output. Also if the climate is moist it is highly recommended to opt for natural gas lighting system.

Depending on your preference you can either pick a modern or an antique lighting. Modern lighting feature clean lines and are generally are silver or black. On the other hand the antique look is all about aged look with more natural colors like copper and brass.

Create a different look by using your creative skills to light up the whole gathering. You can experiment by mixing and matching various styles to create completely different look all together. But make sure it compliments your complete decor and everything is in sync.

Outdoor lighting can be found in different sizes and styles. Using a natural gas or a liquid gas propane to light the whole evening is completely your own personal choice. I know, as model train enthusiasts we are much more comfortable in our garages with our hammers than in front of a glowing computer screen.  It just feels inauthentic to practice model training with a laptop. Model training has been great without the informatin highway, thank you.  But it’s the computer age, and there’s no reason why our PCs can’t play a part!  You’ve already gotten lots of useful information about model training on the internet. You know it’s one of the best ways to find that rare model train you remember from your childhood.  But I’ve been doing some research and there is some wonderful model train software out there as well.  Here’s the low down:

Laying Out and Planning Model Train Software:

One of the great items you can find on the internet is the layout visualization and planning software.  These programs allow you to plan out your track in advance so that you can figure out how best to use the spatial limits of your model train setup.  Some of the programs also help you by offering default base tracks as spring boards that can then be built on to fit your individual space. The cutting edge graphics of the planning software even allow you to walk through your prospective model in verisimilar eye popping graphics! If your spatial imagination is point of contention this is an useful aid.

Detailing your train in the computer age: Model Train Software for detailing, weathering and decalling:

Another wonderful bit of software is one of these products that allow you to print out and sometimes to even individualize the details for your trains and landscape.  So if you want to make one of the buildings in your little town seem as if it made out of red bricks, you just print out a sheet of red bricks and then paste it onto the building to create the façade that you are looking for. To create the lettering in the style and size that you fits your train’s specific type and design, you just choose the style you want, print it, and decal it on your train.  The software allows you to change the sizes and to customize the styles so that they are unique to your needs.  This is a huge improvement over pre-fabricated decals. This generates a host of possibilities for making your model train empire unique.

Model Train Software will soon be able to help you with signaling:

One of the most intriguing developing stories in the model train field is the current effort to create a Java based computer controlled signaling system. An icon on your Windows platform could be the portal right into the master control for your entire multi-train model train empire.  This would take the mystery out of signaling for those that have never been able to fully grasp the more technical aspects of this part of model training. Wow. Your computer now changes into the control station for your whole model train layout.  No more fussing with the signaling box. It should make things easier for me.

These are just a few of the ways that your computer can help you in your model training. I’m sure these won’t be the last computer innovations we’ll want to know about.   Just like in the real world of trains, computers will no doubt become an indispensable tool for simplified the day to day aspects of operation.
