You have stepped into an exciting journey as you move into a new home. Decisions must be made of where to place everything, how exciting that can be! It is up to you which bedroom will be yours and what items will go in every room in this building that is soon to be called home.

As you are unpacking the kitchen paraphernalia you run across the electric rice cooker. Seeing it gives you ideas of what to make for dinner for the family, so instead of finding a place in the cupboard to place it, you leave it out for dinner. The family loves your chicken and rice specialty and it will be a treat the first night in their new home.

Going into the dining room after finishing in the kitchen, you see the movers have been there already. They positioned your new dining room furniture set exactly where you had pictured it. This is a perfect fit just as you had hoped when you picked it out in the furniture store.

Moving upstairs into the master bedroom you start unpacking clothes and placing them in the drawers. The walk in closet is one thing in this house that you plan to take full advantage of. Hatboxes go on the top shelf and shoe boxes on the floor. There is a section for hanging blouses and jackets, as well as a taller space for dresses or formal wear. How nice to have a sectional closet!

The next door down the hall is now the room of your daughter. As you walk in you see her sitting on her bed texting her friend. She assists with hanging the curtains and offers to unpack her own things. Your acceptance is quick, knowing this gives you more time in other areas.

The room your son will call his for the next four years until he leaves for college is next on the agenda. The newly purchased twin loft bed is perfect for what he needs. It not only has his bed but also houses a place for studying, as well as a new place for his computer. He now also has the internet access he so needs for researching papers for school.

Realizing that a lot has been accomplished your first day here, you end the day with a sigh. Work beckons in two days time and there is so much more to get finished. As each item finds its new place in the home, this house begins to take on the new persona of home.

Make up a plan Decide on a plan and cling to it . Atlanta moving firm Coast 2 Coast Moving suggests that you color code each room in your current house with a twinned room in your new habitation, and apply that color to each box that is packed for the room. This makes it easier on the movers or yourself when unpacking the package at your new home.

Think about what will stay and what will go Before you start packing anything, walk through your house and make decisions about what will stay and what will go. Getting rid of all those items that you don’t need in your house will save you the cost of having to pack, move or store them .

Things to bundle individually

Tools – tools are necessary for disassembling and assembling larger items, as well as those tools that are always handy to have like wrenches , screwdrivers, , and measuring tape.

Kitchen Essentials pack your kitchen essentials on an individual basis. This package might include pots, pans, utensils, crockery and basic seasonings for your first few days.

Toiletries and Articles of clothing Pack a traveling bag as if you were leaving on a vacation. Keep a change of clothes and all your toiletries and necessities in a travel bag .

Things not to pack

Hazardous Materials Items that are flammable, caustic or volatile are not to be packed. This would include propane tanks, motor oil, fireworks, ammunition, acid, darkroom chemicals, and charcoal, among others. make sure to discard them the right way through recycling or junk removal services.

Plants Moving companies will not transport plants, Check with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for regulations on moving plants across state lines.

Moving house is a very hard and stressful decision to make there is no doubt about that. What is there you can do to make the home more appealing?

Tidying Up?

There do seem to be many things you can do to make the home look a lot more presentable to people coming in lookign to buy it, tidying up is just one of the easiest options. Of course it is going to take you a very long time indeed to make sure that everything it stored away, carpets are hovered and everything is polished so it looks nice and shiny. One of the big things you do not want to do is go too far because the house will just look too tody for its own good and people will think of it as a bit unnatural.

New Things

One of the more expensive options is to do an area up such as the kitchen or front room. I would certainly start by looking at somewhere like the kitchen because this is a big area that people are interested in. I really do not get exactly why people are interested in the kitchen area but they seem to be so make sure you look into. Do not bother with bedrooms because people couldn’t care less what they look like simply because this is a room they will do up in their own time.

So do you show people around the house yourself or not? Well this is entirely up to you and I wouldn’t really say there is a better way to do things. Of course if you put this question to an estate agent they would argue the case.

So have a look around for house sale Sussex, there are some pretty good burgess hill estate agents if you can’t find anything in your area then look for estate agent Sussex.
